Tasks

As Application Engineer Powertrain Components, you will apply material properties to component micro geometry and related material specifications, focusing on powertrain component interaction.

You will be part of a unique team where most of your working days are spent in projects with system owners and OEM’s, beyond the normal customer interface. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with both external and internal stakeholders are therefore required.

In this position, you will be located at the Group Function Industry Solutions Development in Hofors. The position is open for a senior or junior engineer. Selection will be based on skill. Travels are expected.

Qualifications

To be successful, you have five-year of experience from materials and/or mechanical component R&D. Experience from manufacturing and project management is preferred. You also have a degree in PhD, MSc or similar in Materials and/or Mechanical engineering.

High proficiency in English is required to be able to communicate with global stakeholders, additional languages are a plus.
